I enjoy contributing to blog carnivals, and very happy to be part of the First Vegas Blog Carnival with my Bouchon review. Vegas is a city I never planned to visit but once I had experienced the insanity of The Strip I’m just drawn back again and again.

Carnival of Cities – April 2nd
The Seattle Traveler is hosting the Carnival of Cities this week and presents a wide variety of stories from around the world. I enjoyed Agra Snapshot, Deepak Jeswal’s description of the Agra traffic reminded me of the fearless trishaw drivers in Penang.
The two California stories about The California Surf Museum and the end of the housing bubble juxtapose the surf culture and wealth of the Golden State.
My own article about Brisbane, and Colin Campbell‘s story about Adelaide highlight two of Australia’s less well known cities.
Thanks to Mary Jo for hosting the carnival.

Seattle Traveler
Mary Jo Manzanares shares her local knowledge about Seattle to help you get the most out of your visit. Her Seattle Traveler blog highlights the local favourites like Mt Rainer and sleeper events like the Seattle Erotic Art Festival.

Blog Carnival – Carnival of Cities
Home Turf Media is hosting the Carnival of Cities #3, Urban Planet blog carnival this month, and Sheila included two of my recent posts in this wonderful and eclectic group of writers. I especially enjoyed reading CJCM‘s article about the mobile hair salon in Kuala Lumpur, reminding me of the many innovative entrepreneurs I met while living there twenty years ago.
